Services for Bobby Gerald Ross 86, of Little River will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home chapel, Temple, TX with Retired Revered Rex Ponder who will be officiating under the direction of the funeral home. The Heavens were rejoicing as they welcomed Bobby Thursday evening, March 26, 2015. Bobby was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Belton. The Heavens were rejoicing as they welcomed Bobby Thursday evening, March 26, 2015. Bobby was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Belton. He had a true servants heart as he served his country in the U.S. Army and was a giving, loving husband, father, brother, son and grandfather. Mr. Ross was born the eldest of six children, December 22, 1928 to Westoff Posey and Donna Ross in Ft. Worth Texas. After serving in the Military he returned home to marry the love of his life, Nealy Mae Huckabee. He continued to work for civil service at Ft. Hood at which he retired. Bobby lived in Little River for 60 years, where he was a member of First Baptist Church before relocating in East Texas to be near his daughter. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Posey and Donna Ross, sister, Vonell Salamoni, and brother, Truman Ross. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Nealy Mae Ross of Quitman, his only daughter, Patricia Cooper of Mineola, one brother, Dennis Ross of Ft. Worth, two sisters, Maxine Holcomb of Houston, and Linda Lewis of Gatesville, two granddaughters, Sarah Galland of Lindale, and Elizabeth Lerch of St. Louis, MO and one great-grandchild, Ian Galland of Lindale. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm, Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel.
